Łukasz Galusek is a lecturer at the international academy in Berlin

Dr. Łukasz Galusek, Program Director of the International Cultural Center in Krakow, will take part in this year's edition of "Exercising Modernity Academy" as a lecturer. The Modernity Exercise Academy, organized by The Pilecki Institute in Berlin, will be held this year under the slogan "Geographies of modernity - communities, discourses and ruptures". The topic of this year's edition focuses on the processes of shaping societies in the context of dynamically changing state borders, with particular emphasis on the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

The program of this year's Academy consists of three key thematic blocks:

1. Architecture, art and design as tools for building collective identity,

2. Narratives about architecture and art as a heritage of the past and strategies for its protection or destruction,

3. Scattered sources of modernity.

19^th September dr. Łukasz Galusek will lead a seminar on distributed sources of modernity, referring to the program implemented by the MCK in Krakow. His extensive experience in the history of architecture and art of the 20th century and his deep knowledge of the Polish and Central European cultural context will be a valuable contribution to the debate on contemporary challenges regarding identity, memory and heritage.
