A conference about the Lithuanian season in Krakow took place at the ICC

Photo presents the participants of the conference.

This year we celebrate the 700th anniversary of Vilnius, which is Krakow's partner city. At the ICC the Lithuanian Cultural attaché, Rasa Rimickaitė, and the representatives of the city and Krakow's cultural institutions have met to talk about Polish-Lithuanian projects planned for the up-coming months.

The conference was attended by the Mayor of Krakow's Plenipotentiary for Culture, Robert Piaskowski, as well as museum directors: dr Maria Anna Potocka (MOCAK), prof. dr hab. Andrzej Szczerski (National Museum) and Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik (ICC).

Lithuanian Culture Institute and the cultural institutions from Krakow entered into collaboration with the most prominent Lithuanian entities. Exhibitions, film screenings, literary meetings and artistic residences are planned. Museums and galleries will show Lithuanian paintings, photographs, contemporary installations, videos and sculptures.

On the 15th of June at the ICC we open the exhibition “Lithuania. Two centuries of photography”, organised in cooperation with Lithuanian Photographers Association (about the exhibition). The works of such artists as Antanas Sutkus and Romualdas Rakauskas will be juxtaposed with those created by the representatives of the “new Lithuanian school”: e.g. Tadas Kazakevičius and Indrė Šerpytytė. It will be the first such comprehensive staging of Lithuanian photography in Poland.
