Lecture: “Profession: architect. About women in contemporary Polish architecture”

2023-03-10, 11:00 a.m.
Graphic with the name of event.

10 March , 11 am

The lecture in March was devoted to the work of selected contemporary Polish architects and urban planners, e.g. Ewa Kuryłowicz, Natalia Paszkowska, Dorota Sibińska and Agata Twardoch.

Although the profession of an architect or urban planner is still more popular among men, women constitute an important group, and their voice is increasingly well heard in contemporary debates on design. Figures such as Lina Bo Bardi, Denise Scott Brown and Zaha Hadid changed the world of architecture and introduced new impulses to it. Contemporary Polish architecture and urban planning are also unthinkable without women.

Venue: “The Ravens” hall, Rynek Główny 25

The entry was free. The meeting took place online, via Zoom platform. In order to receive the virtual invitation, we asked the participants to send a message to: warsztaty@mck.krakow.pl

The lecture was part of the series “Mature for art.”
