The ashes of late Prof. Krzysztof Penderecki in the National Pantheon

On Tuesday, 29 March, a ceremony will be held in Cracow to transfer the ashes of late Prof. Krzysztof Penderecki, an outstanding Polish composer and long-standing member of the Programme Council of the International Centre for Culture, to his place of eternal rest.
 
On 29 March, at 9.30 a.m., the urn containing the ashes will be placed in St. Florian's Basilica on Warszawska Street. At 11 a.m., a funeral procession will depart from the Basilica and proceed through Matejko Square, Florianska Street, Market Square, Grodzka Street to the Church of St. Apostles Peter and Paul. There, at 12 o'clock, a memorial service will begin, after which the composer's ashes will be placed in the National Pantheon in the church's crypt.
