We invite you on October 5 at 18 for an online speech by Zhanna Komar, curator of the exhibition Ukraine. A different angle on neighbourhood transferred in the gallery space by the Cultural Center will tell about one of the 8 leading themes of the exhibitions: the Ukrainian country as a phenomenon of culture and national identity.

Ukrainian house called a "hut" to the phenomenon of culture and national identity. A cottage is not only a place, but also a kind of sacred Ukrainian spirit. Many writers and artists have developed the iconography of the Ukrainian hut in the form of a white one-story house covered with yellow thatched roofs surrounded by flowers, nature spots, among apple and cherry orchards. Contemporary artists with her sacred image in dialogue, situating themselves in new contexts. The cottage can be perceived both as an iconic element of the landscape or a lost paradise, it is missed by people visiting housing estates, and as a trigger of the war trauma.
