It is worth exploring the heritage and expanding the context of the exhibition in the open air, walking among the richness of tastes and smells offered by Krakow. That is why we propose a series of city walks that will introduce selected issues.

Ukrainian traces in Krakow - a city walk accompanying the exhibition "Ukraine. Mutual gaze ". We will start with the Wawel Hill, referring to the times when, before the founding city, Krakow was located on the trade route running from Kiev to Prague. We will take a closer look at the archaeological mementos of contacts between Cracovians and Ruthenians, including the statue called the Idol from Zbrucz, a rare example of pre-Christian art and the common pagan heritage of the Slavs. We will learn more about the paintings of Ruthenian masters in the Wawel Cathedral and where the mosaic icon of the Mother of God in the Church of St. Andrew. We will go to Ruskie Koło, which is a pre-war informal meeting place for Ukrainians in Planty, and we will visit the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. We will focus on the presence of Ukrainians in the scientific and artistic life of Krakow, we will also tell you about the fascination of Young Poland's artists with our eastern neighbor and the "fashion for Ukrainianness" in Polish culture of the nineteenth century. We will end the walk in the Nić cafe and bookstore, the most contemporary place connected with the Ukrainian community in Krakow.
