3rd Forum of Museum Educators (online)

Managing an educational or project team, prospects and development of educational activities, online communication issues are just some of the issues that were discussed during the 3rd Forum of Museum Educators, a series of meetings addressed to people managing activities and educational teams in museums and cultural institutions.

One of the speakers were Angelika Madura, the coordinator of the ICC educational program, and Helena Postawka-Lech, who has been co-creating the offer of programs for the audience at the Centre for years. During the meeting, they conducted a panel on the inclusion of online programs into the permanent educational offer. The event was also an opportunity to share own experiences and talk to the group of leaders of museum education. It was also an opportunity for networking - looking for partnerships and undertaking joint initiatives.

The online meeting was held on November 13, 2020 from 10.00–13.00 on the Zoom platform.

10.00 – Welcome and introduction to the meeting

10.30–12.30 (with a break) - Panels in thematic groups:

  • Online education - what next? Prospects for the development of online programs, moderated by Anna Czerwińska, POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw
  • Psychological aspects of online education, moderated by: Dominika Cieślikowska
  • In an educational roller coaster. How to include online programs in the permanent offer is led by: Angelika Madura and Helena Postawka-Lech, International Cultural Centre
  • Epidemic carousel of emotions, led by: Anna Kieszkowska-Grudny, MD, PhD, Minds of Hope

12.30–13.00 - Summary of the meeting


Dominika Cieślikowska – a psychologist and educator with several years of experience in conducting remote educational processes, such as long-term courses, individual virtual meetings, webinars, series of interactive workshops in the online environment. Associated with the education sector and museums.

Anna Czerwińska – art historian, educator, head of the Family and School Education Section at the Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Responsible for the concept of the program, cooperation with a team of educators and the development of projects aimed at children and youth. The author (and co-author) of educational publications, cultural projects, exhibitions (including the exhibition "In King Matt's Poland. The 100th anniversary of regaining independence", awarded and honored, among others, in competitions: Museum Event of the Year Sybilla 2019, Masovian Event of the Year "Wierzba" and the European Children in Museums Award). It creates offline and online learning situations that support learning through experience and fun.

Anna Kieszkowska-Grudny, MD, PhD – psychologist, certified psychotherapist and coach, certified manager, strategic advisor, business trainer. He is a European specialist in working with people exposed to chronic stress and experiencing burnout. For almost 20 years, he has been dealing with psychological factors of personal and professional development, quality of life and risk management. Author of several dozen scientific publications, book chapters and international conference reports. Recently, she established the Institute for Stress-Free, the first center for comprehensive diagnosis, reduction and rehabilitation of stress, in which specialists help to regain balance in life and improve the quality of life. Angelika Madura – educator and animator of culture, coordinator of the educational program at the International Cultural Centre in Krakow, ECHOCAST trainer, implements numerous national and international educational programs.

Helena Postawka-Lech – art historian, educator and art critic, in the years 2009-2020 she worked as a coordinator of programs for audiences at the ICC, received a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage on good practices in online activities in the field of culture, the result of which is the project entitled ", Currently works in the" Architektura i Biznes "magazine.

The organizers of the meeting: the Museum of Warsaw, the Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek and the International Cultural Centre in Kraków, together with the Museum Educators Forum.
