29 bridges — places that connect shores, cities, people and their stories. The visual narrative we present in this notebook, published to mark the 35th anniversary of the ICC, is about dialogue and takes us through traditions, eras and diverse spaces. In it, we reaffirm our mission: attention to detail and the search for a spirit of community and exchange. We invite you to follow in their footsteps and chart your own paths with a journal prepared especially for this occasion.

This unique MCK notebook is a visual journey through Europe seen from the perspective of 29 bridges and places that for centuries have connected not only riverbanks, but also cultures, histories and experiences. The photographs collected come from various cities and regions of Central Europe: from Kraków, Prague and Warsaw, through Budapest, Vienna and Berlin, to Mostar, Kukës and Saxon Switzerland. The oldest photographs date back to the second half of the 19th century, the most recent to the 1960s.

The motif of the bridge intertwines with the idea of the 35th anniversary of the International Cultural Centre in Kraków, which, since the very beginning of its activity, has been building a space for dialogue and exchange between traditions and ways of thinking about European culture. Just like the crossings presented in the notebook, the ICC connects the past with the present, the local with an international perspective, and people across geographical and mental boundaries.

This notebook is not only a practical everyday item, but also tells the story of Central Europe as a place of encounter and mutual inspiration.

The notebook is available to buy at ksiegarniamck.pl.
