We are pleased to announce that our training project, Heritage Academy for Ukraine, has received funding from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the Inspiring Culture 2025–2026 programme.

Heritage Academy for Ukraine is a five-day seminar held in Kraków and in other towns and cities in southern Poland known for their rich cultural heritage. This year’s edition will focus on the promotion of cultural heritage. The project is aimed at professionals from Ukraine’s cultural sector and is intended to enhance their professional competencies. In 2023, we successfully carried out a pilot edition of the programme.

The idea for the project emerged from the ongoing dialogue conducted by the International Cultural Centre with representatives of Ukraine’s cultural sector, particularly with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. The programme will concentrate on key issues related to the promotion of cultural heritage, such as identifying institutions and temporary exhibitions, developing and implementing promotional and marketing strategies, managing social media presence with an emphasis on communication accessibility, as well as researching audience needs and preferences.

The total value of the project is PLN 77,000, with PLN 54,000 in funding awarded.

The project’s strategic partners are the Ancient Dźvynohorod Reserve – a municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council – and the Polish Institute in Kyiv.
