What mysterious creatures are hidden in the crests of the tenement houses in Krak\u00f3w\u2019s Krowodrza district? What do they mean and where did they come from? As part of the MCK\u2019s series for young children, we\u2019ll embark on a journey through symbols and learn fascinating stories from the worlds of architecture, the city\u2019s history and beyond.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Join us for a walk during which we\u2019ll discover that it\u2019s worth looking up from time to time \u2013 that\u2019s where the most extraordinary stories, etched into the city\u2019s architecture, are hidden. We\u2019ll head to Krowodrza, where we\u2019ll examine the crests adorning the tenement houses and search for the creatures that have been \u201cliving\u201d on their fa\u00e7ades for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During our walk together, we\u2019ll encounter fantastical creatures and discover that each of these elements harbours its own story and significance. We\u2019ll also learn how Krak\u00f3w\u2019s architecture developed in the early 20th century and why decorating buildings with emblems became so popular. The walk will be an opportunity to take a closer look at details that are easily overlooked in everyday life.
