Together, we\u2019ll embark on a journey through time \u2013 we\u2019ll learn about the history of craft guilds, see how they helped the city develop, and discover what remains unchanged in watchmakers\u2019, tailors\u2019, bookbinders\u2019 and confectioners\u2019 workshops to this day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This event will give you a glimpse into a world where every item was made to individual order, and craftsmanship ensured precision and durability. During the walk, we will tell you about the craft workshops which, despite the city\u2019s rapid development, are still operating in Krak\u00f3w today \u2013 often having been in continuous operation for several generations. We\u2019ll discover the stories behind watchmakers\u2019, shoemakers\u2019, tailors\u2019, bookbinders\u2019, frame-makers\u2019, hat-makers\u2019 and confectioners\u2019 workshops, and we\u2019ll visit a few of them to see at first hand the places where these traditional crafts are still very much alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A walk in the footsteps of Krak\u00f3w\u2019s craftsmanship is a tale of the masters who, over the years, have shaped the character and significance of Krak\u00f3w. It is the history of the craft guilds which, since the city\u2019s foundation in 1257, have ensured not only the highest quality of their products, but also upheld a strong work ethic and passed on the secrets of their trade to successive generations. He works in the Educational Department of the Museum of Photography in Krak\u00f3w. He has also collaborated with the Forum for Dialogue Foundation, MOCAK, Wawel Royal Castle and the Galicia Jewish Museum.
