Together, we\u2019ll discover which features are the most interesting and what surprises they hold. We\u2019ll also reflect on what was characteristic of the architecture of that time and what details set it apart.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of Krak\u00f3w\u2019s interwar-era buildings are exceptional not only because of their impressively crafted fa\u00e7ades, modern materials, interesting building forms and well-thought-out urban planning. Equally important are the details hidden within the interiors of these tenement houses: stairwells, floors, balustrades, glazing and other fixtures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During this walk, part of the \u201cMature for Art\u201d series, we will visit selected Krak\u00f3w tenement houses from the interwar period. We will examine their architecture and beautiful details. The lectures analyse issues related to art history and culture in relation to themes that have also been presented in exhibitions at the ICC. This is an excellent opportunity for discussion and a deeper understanding of the works and their context.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Host:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dr. Ma\u0142gorzata J\u0119drzejczyk<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 art historian, curator. Studied art history at Jagiellonian University, Universit\u00e4t Wien and Humboldt-Universit\u00e4t zu Berlin. Graduate of the interdisciplinary study program Environment-Technology-Society (UJ). Author of scholarly articles on 20th century art and architecture and publications in exhibition catalogs and journals. Co-editor of an anthology of image\/body texts and the publication \u201cKomponowanie przestrzenii. Rze\u017aby awangardy\u201d. Co-author and curator of the artistic and scientific program \u201cExercising Modernity\u201d (Pilecki-Institut Berlin).
