Description of the exhibition space “The Touch of Art – Laboratory of Form”

The exhibition “The Touch of Art – Laboratory of Form” is presented in the Patio space on the first floor of the International Cultural Centre in Krakow.

To reach the exhibition, walk through the main hall to the very end and turn slightly to the left. There you will find a lift that will take you to the first floor. Alternatively, there are stairs at the end of the hall. After exiting the lift or descending the stairs, turn right. After a few metres, you will see a door, and behind it, on the left, there are three low steps leading to the exhibition space.

The exhibition is housed in a single, high, rectangular room. The room has a glass roof, and in the middle of the wooden floor there is an oval glass skylight. The walls of the exhibition are white and navy blue, with some sections protruding slightly into the interior.

On the left side of the entrance, there is a stand with leaflets. On the right side, there is a glass display case with graphics presented on a slanted top. The second display case is located in the opposite corner of the room. In the central part of the space, directly above the oval skylight, there are three screens. Two of them, located on the sides, face the viewer, while the middle screen is positioned the other way around, with its back to the entrance. Next to each screen are rectangular pedestals on which convex graphics are displayed at an angle. The remaining works are arranged on the walls around the room.

All objects are designed to be explored through the sense of touch.
