Roman Catholic Churches and Monasteries in the Former Rus' Voivodeship, Part I, vol. 20

This publication is a continuation of vol. 19 (published in 2011) of part I of Materials for the History of the Religious Art in the Eastern Borderlands of the Former Polish Republic, and contains studies of Lviv’s church and monastic complexes of the Bernardines, Dominicans (Corpus Christi and St. Mary Magdalene), Jesuits and Carmelites (originally discalced, from the end of the 18th century – calced). The Corpus Christi Dominican Monastery dates back to the 14th century, and that of the Bernardines to the 15th century, although their buildings (except for the Gothic parts of the Dominican Monastery) were created in the modern era, as were the other sites discussed in this monograph.
