Roman Catholic Churches and Monasteries in the Former Novogrod Voivodeship. Part II, vol. 4

This recently released volume contains monographs of parish churches in 10 towns of the former Novogrod Voivodeship: Dereczyn (together with the local Dominican Monastery), Łukonica Kościelna, Mołczada, Nowojelnia, Rędziszowszczyzna, Rohotna, Ruda Jaworska, Sielawicze, Skrundzie and Zdzięcioł (a local cemetery chapel has been discussed separately). The volume offers a follow-up to the study of the former Słonim deanery (monographs of churches and monasteries of Słonim have been included in Volume 3), namely it discusses churches and monasteries which, prior to 1939, belonged either to the Słonim deanery (Dereczyn, Łukonica, Sielawicze) or Zdzięcioł deanery (Mołczadź, Rędzinowszczyzna, Rohotna, Ruda Jwaorska, Skrudzie, Nowojelnia, Zdzięcioł).

Similarly to previous publications in the series, this volume also contains comprehensive (i.e. historical and art) monographs of individual objects and venues together with 444 unique archival and contemporary photographs which juxtapose what churches and monasteries looked like before 1939 and today. It is further fleshed out with lists of consulted archival sources, bibliography, indices of names and places, a list of illustrations as well as a list of all venues and objects covered in previous volumes of Parts II (Novogrod Voivodeship), III (Vilnius Voivodeship), IV (Trakai Voivodeship) and V (Brest Litovsk Voivodeship).
