During the next At a distance meeting, join us for an encounter with Ukraine, discussed by our guests Dr. Olena Babakova, Dr. Taras Lawruk and Dr. Kuba Snopek. The meeting is part of the programme accompanying the exhibition Ukraine. A different angle on neighbourhood, on show at the ICC Gallery from September 17 through to January 16, 2022.

What is the face of Ukraine? Is it the face of the city, region, migrant? Is it the face of a Ukrainian leaving his home?

During the discussion, the invited guests will try to show that Ukraine is not only Lviv, but also other centres; they will try to define the regional identity of the Eastern Carpathians. They will also consider how today's Ukrainians perceive themselves and reflect about the dynamics and future of migration, including the one directed to Poland.

The title of the meeting refers to the book by Iza Chruślińska and Piotr Tyma.

The meeting will be hosted by Iwona Reichardt (“New Eastern Europe”).

The meeting will be held on September 23 at 7 pm at the ICC Facebook page. The recording will be posted later on YouTube.
