Accessible Sunday is a recurring event that fosters the integration of ICC audiences and invites everyone to participate fully in cultural life.

Guided tour with translation into Polish Sign Language

Conducting: Joanna Majewska-Grabowska – interpreter, lecturer at the Jagiellonian University, and educator at Krakow institutions: MCK, MOCAK and MuFo. She also conducts webinars and guest lectures on Ukrainian culture and identity. She is the co-author of the “To Ukraine in 20 Minutes” podcast. As a translator, she has collaborated with, among others, “Herito”, “Dwutygodnik”, the Batory Foundation, the Institute of Reportage, KBF or Culture.pl magazine.

Translation: Jakub Studzinski – deaf PJM interpreter, graduate of history with a specialization in teaching and postgraduate studies in museum studies and surdopedagogy. He works with the Między Uszami Foundation, the Migawka Foundation and the Siódmy Zmysł Foundation, as well as many cultural institutions. As an interpreter, he is listed in the register of PJM, SJK, SKOGN interpreters kept by the Małopolska Voivode.

Guided tour with audiodescription
Conducting: Regina Mynarska – UJ graduate. Audiodescriptor with many years of experience, coordinator of accessible events, accessibility trainer, author of ETR (Easy to read) texts.

The exhibition “One Eye Laughing, the Other Crying. Art From Romania in the Ovidiu Șandor Collection” is co-organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute. The event within the framework of the Romania-Poland Cultural Season 2024-2025.

Romania-Poland Cultural Season 2024-2025 is organized by the Romanian Ministry of Culture and the Romanian Institute of Culture, on the Romanian side, and by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Bucharest, on the Polish side.

Practical information:

– Venue: International Cultural Center in Krakow, 25 Market Square.

– Participation in events at the price of an exhibition ticket of PLN 5.

– People with disabilities are entitled to a free ticket every day of the week (on the basis of a Disabled Person's Identification Card).

– An assistant of a person with disabilities visits the exhibition free of charge.

– Tickets can be purchased at the box office of the ICC Gallery.

– No reservation of seats necessary.

Accessibility of the event:

– The event venue is free of architectural barriers.

– During the guided tours, an FM system with a portable induction loop can be borrowed at the gallery box office. Visitor service desks (first floor reception and Gallery box office) are equipped with stationary induction loops. You can also use the online Polish Sign Language interpreter service – available here.

– In the building, you can use the TOTUPOINT system to help orient people with visual impairments.
