A unique look at contemporary Jewish history in Poland through the prism of post-war Jewish music. From the piece Vu ahin zol ich gejen, speaking about a Holocaust survivor, to unknown musical territories and jazzmen, such as Mikołaj Trzaska. Eleanor Shapiro is a graduate of the Thesaurus Poloniae programme run by the International Cultural Centre and a doctoral student at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. Admission is free, lecture in English, part of the programme of the Jewish Community Centre accompanying the 27th Jewish Culture Festival.
