The ICC in Japan

2012-03-15
A visit of the ICC representatives to Japan, which has just come to an end, has resulted in a formal decision to extend a cooperation agreement between the ICC and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. So far two rounds of the programme entitled “Heritage of the Polish Borderlands” have been organised within the framework of the agreement (Ukraine in 2008 and Lithuania in 2010).

The visit to Japan consisted of lectures, seminars and workshops related to preservation of cultural heritage in Poland and Japan. Also, the talks concerning the third edition of the “Heritage of the Polish Borderlands” programme – planned to take place in August and September of 2012 – were held.
The agreement stipulates that new research projects dealing with the history and culture of Central Europe are to be organised in the nearest future.
