ICC at the 16th Krakow Book Fair

During the 16th Krakow Book Fair, the ICC stall will feature the Centre’s most recent publications, including the eighth issue of HERITO quarterly, a collection of essays by Emil Brix titled Central Europe Re-Visited, an exhibition catalogue entitled Viribus Unibis? Polish Parliamentarians in the Habsburg Monarchy 1848–1918 as well as conference proceedings from the 1st Heritage Forum of Central Europe.

Also, we are pleased to inform that the ICC publications which have been awarded and recognised in this year’s editions of book competitions will also be available for purchase during the Fair. In particular: Happening against Communism by the Orange Alternative (regular award), Us and Them. An Intricate History of Otherness (regular award and honorary prize by the Society of the Polish Bibliophiles) – The most beautiful book of the year competition; HERITO, issue no. 3 “The city and the museum” (second prize in its respective category), HERITO, issue no. 4 “Art is changing (a) place” (special mention in its respective category) – GrandFront competition.

A companion programme to this year’s Book Fair includes another in a series of meetings titled “Around HERITO”. On October 25, 2012, at 5.00 p.m., Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik, Wojciech Wilczyk and Justyna Nowicka of Radio Krakow (host) will meet to talk about HERITO’s new issue titled “Nations – history and memory”.
