Karl Dedecius Prize for Polish and German Translators

Since 2002 the Robert Bosch Foundation, in cooperation with the Deutsches Polen-Institut, Darmstadt, awards the Karl Dedecius Prize to eminent Polish and German translators. The German-Polish jury under the honorary chairmanship of Karl Dedecius selects the winners, honouring their outstanding translating accomplishments and their work for the understanding between the Poles and the Germans. The prize is 10.000 euros for every recipient; it is awarded every two years, alternately in Darmstad and Krakow.

The exhibition presents the recipients of the prize and its patron Karl Dedecius and is part of the programme of the award ceremony to take place on 24 May at the ICC.

The exhibition was mounted in cooperation with the Deutsches Polen-Institut, Darmstadt. The project has the financial support of the Robert Bosch Foundation. Captions in Polish and German.
