The Gorgon case – meeting with Cezary Łazarewicz

The link between Mrs Gorgon, a character in one of the biggest crime stories of pre-war Poland, and the subject of the exhibition is Henryk Zaręba – architect and father of the murdered child, Lusia. Łazarewicz’s latest book, Koronkowa robota. Sprawa Gorgonowej [Deft dealing. The Gorgon case] tries to find out not only whether Rita Gorgon was guilty but also what happed to her after she was released from prison on 3 Sep. 1939.

Cezary Łazarewicz – journalist, reporter and columnist; author of many non-fiction stories, among them Żeby nie było śladów. Sprawa Grzegorza Przemyka (2016) and Tu mówi Polska. Reportaże z Pomorza (2017).

Hosted by Paulina Małochleb – literary critic and historian, Secretary to the Wisława Szymborska Award Board, winner of the Prime Minister’s Award, recipient of a Young Poland grant of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and of the Young Poland grant of the National Heritage Centre.
